There are few properties which can rival Somerleyton as a venue to hire for a private family holiday whether they are to celebrate a landmark birthday or anniversary or the coming together of a non-specific gathering involving friends and family.

The house is fully staffed by housekeepers, a wonderful chef who can take care of your every need and help you design the perfect break. Depending on the time of year we can serve you anything from gourmet banquets to afternoon tea, in surroundings ranging from the grand dining room to our Victorian summer house overlooking Fritton Lake - Phyllis’s Folly.

We can organise most activities depending on the time of year. These vary from water skiing and sea fishing to clay pigeon shooting and stalking. Gentler activities such as cooking lessons with Steve our chef and retail therapy in Norwich are also available. Down the road are Snape Maltings and the Aldeburgh Festival, both world renown and Norwich also has a vibrant cultural scene with its theatre, castle and wonderful cathedral.

But perhaps best of all is being able to completely relax and enjoy the wonderful charm of Somerleyton Hall and gardens in the knowledge that it is exclusively yours

Somerleyton can be hired for Easter, Christmas and New Year, or for longer family holidays during the summer. What sets Somerleyton apart from almost anywhere else is the unique access you are given to the 5,000-acre estate and its numerous attractions and activities.
